This is one of those ideas that I immediately want to find a reason to use! I'd love to see the look on someone's face when they think they're cutting into a cake to actually find a real surprise inside. So clever! This was originally used as a midnight cake for New Year's Eve, but make a smaller one for a child's birthday with a toy surprise or use it as a "reveal" cake to reveal the gender of an upcoming newborn.
