ELEPHANT THEMED GENDER REVEAL PARTY

It's exciting to find out you're pregnant. Then the excitement builds up again to find out the sex of the baby. This couple shared the news with an adorable elephant themed gender reveal party for their new little peanut. I love the rundown of guesses based on "old wives tales." But best of all was their son's reaction to finding out it's going to be a boy after having two sisters. So funny! Thanks to Colorado photographer, Candice Baker Photography, for sharing all the joy!

ORANGE, GREEN & BLUE SUMMER WEDDING

This is probably the kind of wedding lots of people hope for–looks like a wedding, feels like a party. I love the use of the green and orange colors for a summer wedding; colors that can be used for any summer celebration. And this couple just looks like they had a blast, which is the way it should be. There are too many brides that are so stressed throughout the night, they don't enjoy themselves, and the next thing you know–the night is over. A few of my favorite details are the personalized sunglasses (which would make a great giveaway to graduating students at their ceremony too), the social media/digital tie-ins and how adorable are the flower girls?? Big thanks to Colorado wedding photographer, Beth Photography, for capturing the colorful day and sharing it with us!

CHIC MARIE ANTOINETTE BIRTHDAY PARTY

A young girl’s fascination with all things French inspired this gorgeous birthday party. Pastel colors, feathers and pretty dresses helped set the stage for “Marie Antoinette” and her jolies amis! Colorado-based photographer, Stephanie Stamos, not only beautifully captured the celebration, but she orchestrated the entire day herself. Yes–super mom! The fun included getting makeup done, a dance around the maypole and a murder mystery game. No doubt all the pretty girls were trรจs content by the end of the day!

DIY DREAM CATCHER

I'm in the midst of planning my girls' camping themed sleepover party that will happen in a couple of weeks. One of the crafts we're doing is a dreamcatcher. I was originally going to do the craft using hole punched paper plates but my girls seemed to think it would be too cumbersome to thread the holes, etc. So, when I was walking through JoAnn's I spotted these cute crocheted doilies and the light bulb went off! It makes the craft so much easier and prettier!

Here's all you need:
- embroidery hoop
- crocheted doily
- yarn
- feathers
- glue

Start by unscrewing the hoop and lay in your doily. When you replace the outer hoop, realize that you will not be able to screw it back together because of the doily's thickness. So, all we did was tie it together to keep it closed. This also becomes a handy loop to hang the dreamcatcher.
Tie three pieces of yarn into three holes at the bottom. Multiple strands of ribbon would be really pretty to use as well.

Finally, glue on the feathers. I'm a big fan of glue dots so that's what we used here.
Voila! A pretty dreamcatcher that will look great in any girl's room and a fun party craft!

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL INSPIRED BAT MITZVAH PARTY

Vibrant colors, acrobat performers and crystal-accented decorations made this special Bat Mitzvah a special day for this young girl, Maya, and for all involved! It truly was a show in itself! Special event planners, EH Social Events, made it a point to make Maya herself part of the show with her own acrobatic pre-shoot. No doubt that she was flying high during and after the big party! Big thanks to New Jersey photographer, TLGreen Photography for beautifully capturing all the fun and colorful details.

20'S INSPIRED NYC WEDDING

Having grown up in the New York metro area I dreamed of having my wedding in New York City. I love the photos of brides running across a busy avenue with blurred taxis in the background. And I love the location this couple chose for their nuptials. The Green Building has floor to ceiling exposed brick, large gold chandeliers and a speakeasy room in the back that helped set the stage for the vintage decor and feel of the night. Huge thanks to New York's Zorz Studios for capturing the beauty in all the details and sharing them with us. Make sure to check out the list of participating vendors at the bottom.
