I haven't had much of a chance to reflect on the new year. But I have to say with all the shootings, kidnappings, natural disasters and more that went on last year, I am glad 2012 is over. I'm looking forward to what I hope will be a better year. I'm not one for resolutions; I don't think you should wait for Jan 1st to set new goals, but I do like the idea of starting over; being granted a clean slate. I think 2013 will be very much an effect of 2012--meaning I think it's a year that will be very much influenced by the previous one. In light of a lot of things that happened in 2012, we have a lot to do and learn as a society. For me personally, my intentions and goals for the new year will be much more personal--character building--rather than things like "lose weight" or "save money." I think now, more than ever, we really need to be kinder and thoughtful with one another... and do what we can to instill those values into our children.
When I saw this free printable from Ellinee I thought it was perfect inspiration for 2013. I'm going to print this out and keep it on my mantle. I wanted to share it with you as a start of putting forward that positive mindset for the new year. There are two versions. You can download your's here.
I'll have something fun for you tomorrow!
