ROMANTIC HOME WEDDING

Valentine's Day is just about a month away and what better way to get inspired than to revel in a couple's wedding photos?! This one is extra special because it took place at the couple's stunning home. They used a green and pink color palette to transform their home, with flowers designed by Laurel Wood Designs.  Towards the end of the day, the groom surprised his new wife with a trip to Tahiti!  How's that for a happy ending?!  Thanks to Erin Nicastro Photography in New Jersey for taking and submitting the photos.

TERRIFIC TANGLED PARTY

When little Addison turned 6 she celebrated with a party... fit for a princess! This amazing DIY party recreated the story of Rapunzel from Tangled with clever quotes from the movie, flower garlands and Tangled's signature purple and yellow colors. Each girl was greeted with their own braided yarn clip and enjoyed fancy Tangled-inspired treats. Check out the cake! A visit from Rapunzel herself highlighted the day as she delighted guests with a story, puppet show and face painting. 3 BUDGETS, 3 NEW YEAR'S EVE TABLES

The other day I showed you our New Year's Eve table here.  Today, I'm sharing a New Year's Eve styled shoot photographed by Break the Mold Photo featuring three different table settings.  Each has the same color theme, but one is set for a high-end affair, one for mid-range and one for a lower-end affair.  There are common elements through them all, including various glittery touches.  (You need the sparkle!)  A lot of the ideas like the gold dipped glasses and painted bottles can be used for any special occasion.  The Knoxville skyline provided an amazing party backdrop.  Check out all the participating vendors below after the photos.  Cheers!

PAPER OMBRE TABLE RUNNER

I came across this DIY runner when I was thinking of ideas for my New Year's Eve table. I wanted to do a version using glittered gold, silver and black stars. But when I realized how much of the glittered paper I'd have to buy, I had to axe the idea and I definitely didn't have the time to actually be mod podging glitter (Boo!)  Maybe next year!!  But, I still love the idea and it is easy to execute. The circles are a fun idea for a sprinkles, confetti, sweet shop or just plain old fashioned birthday party.  Find the full tutorial at Green Wedding Shoes here.

OUR NEW YEAR'S EVE

Happy new year!  I did not intend to take this much time off, but honestly it was so nice being able to just relax and do nothing the last couple of weeks. I really just watched movies, caught up on reading, got rid of stuff in storage--it was great.  We did host New Year's Eve, which I always enjoy doing.  It was totally done on a budget.  I had a lot of stuff leftover from past New Years--including napkins and a banner. We had six couples over and their kids. It was a blast.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any good photos of the resolution photo op. I had everyone write their resolution on a dry erase board and take their photo with it.  No one managed to hold the camera steady!  ha.  But here are photos of most of the setup.

Mr. Snowman is a a cream cheese ball. We also served chocolate covered strawberries, spinach and artichoke dip, cheese cubes, veggies with dip and peppermint trifles in mini mason jars.

Gold star plates from The Dollar Tree dressed up the kitchen bar area. I stuck gold star stickers on black cups to match. Mini ball ornaments and tinsel filled glasses for quick decor.

A time capsule kids filled out became their party favor. I found cylinder cookie tins at Hobby Lobby for 66% off!
