BEAUTIFUL BARN PARTY STYLED SHOOT

Some may be down because Summer is coming to an end soon, but you can't deny all the wonderful colors and decor that Fall brings.  Look at this beautiful styled barn shoot photographed and submitted by Nichole Taylor Photography in British Columbia, Canada.  A few of my favorite details include the twig cupcake stand and rustic potato chip bags.  (Where do I get those?!) Pops of color were brought in with florals designed by Platinum Floral Designs.  The light, flowing dresses designed by Discarded Couture brought in a soft, ethereal mood to the overall setting, which they also designed.  Let this serve as inspiration for your Fall entertaining!

Tip-off: Balloon Tees

I found this idea on Pinterest, and thought it was handy enough to share here on the blog.  Instead of tying balloons to tree branches or porch banisters, use golf tees to hold them down.  You can easily line walkways or create a balloon "garden" as done here.  Makes a beautiful, fun entrance to your party! Our Snow Cone Stand

Hard to believe, but school starts in just over 2 weeks for us! So, we're going down our summer bucket list to see what we haven't done yet and can still squeeze in. Since the girls got a snow cone machine for their birthday, they have been begging me to do a snow cone stand - which is a fun alternative to the lemonade stand.  They were so into it!  They made the SNOW CONES banner - which I think is way cuter than any set of printables! :)  And we also made a snow cone garland by simply painting some styrofoam balls and hot gluing them into actual snow cone cups.  To give the syrups a consistent look, I just made up a few labels on the computer using chevron backgrounds.  We didn't go crazy with any other extras, like cookies.  It was a fun activity for the girls, and it's cute to see them act all "business like" when a customer approaches!

SUPER DR. SEUSS PARTY!

Dare I say, dare I might - this party is out of sight! I am simply in awe by all the amazing details in this Dr. Seuss birthday party!  The centerpieces, signs, decor and all the activities made this party a special day for kids and adults.  There was face painting, a photo booth, a caricature artist and even the Cat in the Hat!  Photographer Cary Diaz Photography did such a thorough job in capturing every fish, book and "thing." It was a tough job narrowing the photos down to these.  Great inspiration for your own Dr. Seuss party, Dr. Seuss day or Teacher Appreciation at school.
