Sometimes the hardware store is your best friend when it comes to craft inspiration. Look at this lovely centerpiece made out of simple rope. (It could also double as a hot plate!) Valentine's Day is not too far off and I am sure there are a lot of weddings planned for that weekend. Although this was a summer wedding, the shades of pink at this time of year seem completely relevant and inspiring. But what I love most is is the soft shades of pink they used, keeping the decor sophisticated and elegant... "blush and bashful"! MICKEY MOUSE PARTY BURSTING WITH COLOR!

Mickey Mouse is timeless. Every new generation becomes enamored with Mickey and his crew of fun Disney characters. Event designer, Lenee' Valentine in Virginia, gave little Jayden a Mickey Mouse party that is sure to make his first birthday memorable for all! The decor was filled with oodles of Mickey: balloons, cut-outs, cake, cookies and more, in a bold blue and red color palette. We're so happy she shared this fun-filled party with us!

AN (ALMOST) CUPCAKE SESSION!

I love this creative twist Canada photographer, Kristy Klaassen, put on the traditional cake smash photo session. Instead of using the finished cake product, Kristy gave this little one a chance at getting hands-on with the cake ingredients. With an illustrated stove and fun speech bubbles, this styled shoot told its own original story! And don't you love the different facial expressions she captured? How perfect!
