WINTER WREATH MADE FROM SIMPLE HOUSEHOLD ITEM

I know we haven't even gotten to Thanksgiving yet, but I had to share this genius idea from Craftberry Bush. She made this beautiful, fluffy white wreath... and guess what it's made with?  Go ahead, take a close look.  Dusters from the dollar store! Pretty awesome, right??  Such a pretty wreath for hardly any money.  Find her full tutorial here.

TODAY'S TAKEAWAY: PASTEL WOOD ROUND BACKDROP

From a bridal soiree featured on Green Wedding Shoes, I love how something as raw and hard as wood rounds is turned into something that looks so soft and feminine, just by painting them pastel colors.  Not only did this provide a lovely backdrop for the occasion, but this would be so perfect for a girl's camping party.  You can enjoy the rest of the decor here.

Done for Lauren's 30th birthday, event planners Elles Couture, did such a great job using sophisticated neon decor and integrating different eighties references.  And how much fun is the photo booth!  Definitely a FUN party! POST HALLOWEEN BLUES

Do you and your kids have the blues the morning after Halloween?  My kids certainly do, and I have to admit–I do too, a bit.  We had a lot of fun in my daughter's Halloween class party yesterday.  It's so satisfying to hear a child say "That was a great Halloween party!" on their own! Here are a few images from the party.
Mr. Frankenstein was a great find at The Dollar Tree. We also played Witch Pitch–where the kids have to throw candy corn into small cauldrons. We made spider webs and hanging ghost decorations.  And the costumes were so adorable this year! There's Renee as a peacock with two of her friends.

Have a great weekend!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The day is here!  I'll be at my kids' Halloween parties this morning and hopefully finishing up the porch decorations for tonight. I found this super easy milk jug craft on Pinterest and we put it out last night.  Cute, right?!

I'll be back tomorrow.  Have a fun and safe Halloween!
