GREAT GATSBY STYLED SOIREE

Now THIS is a party I would have loved to have attended! There are just so many WOW factors: the shimmery balloon entrance, the outside marquee letters and the gorgeous attire--you'd think Gatsby himself was ready to step out on to the dance floor! Best of all, the party was done to benefit Restore Innocence, a nonprofit that helps young girls that have been through sex trafficking in Colorado. You'll notice the silent auction items beautifully displayed, too. I am a Colorado resident, so I was so proud to see this event done for a great cause hosted by photographer Sara Lynn Bouzek (of Sara Lynn Photographic) who was kind enough to share these photos with us. Plus, I'll need to scout the venue, Castle Cliff Estate, since I have never heard of it! (Make sure to check out the list of all the amazing participating vendors below.) This is such great inspiration for New Year's Eve or any elegant affair. After all, a little party never killed nobody. ;) Have a safe and very happy new year!!

WOODSY CHRISTMAS STYLED SHOOT

I have been having so much fun receiving and looking at friends and families' holiday photo cards! Even in this age of Facebook and Instagram, I still love receiving cards in the mail.  It actually makes them that more special. Here is a wonderful and festive holiday session photographed by Georgia's Andie Freeman Photography. The outdoor rustic chimney made such a great backdrop–and the kids are just adorable. What did you do for your holiday photo sessions or cards?

DIY ORNAMENT CHANDELIER

What made me really love this chandelier featured over on Ruffled is the oversized ornament balls that were used. It's the larger size of the ornaments that I think really makes the impact and makes them so fun! The ornaments are actually made out of styrofoam balls so the chandelier is very lightweight. Perfect for the holidays--decorate the ornaments with some glitter and they'll be especially perfect for New Year's Eve! Find the full tutorial here.

PINNED & DONE: NO-BAKE PEPPERMINT COOKIES

We went to a fun cookie exchange Friday night. The kids got to decorate gingerbread houses while the moms enjoyed some wine and exchanged cookies. I don't really like to bake, and since the party was at 4:30 on Friday, time wasn't on my side either. So, I scoured Pinterest for a quick idea and found these no-bake peppermint sandwich cookies from Better Homes & Gardens here. They were delicious and a hit! They kind of taste like thin mints. I ran the edges in chopped up candy canes too which made them look so pretty that these cookies would make an easy neighbor gift as well. If you're in a pinch for a quick cookie idea--you'll be thanking me!

GORGEOUS GOLD AND PINK RUSTIC DESSERT TABLE

We're seeing lots of silver and gold these days in honor of the holidays, but here they are exquisitely used for a rustic bridal styled shoot. Event planner D'Love Affair Wedding and Events used a combination of meticulously designed desserts, textures and colors to create a a luxurious look in an intimate rustic garden setting. (Make sure to see the list of all participating vendors down below.) Big thanks to Canada's L'Estelle Photography for capturing and sharing the beautiful details. Amazing inspiration to make any occasion elegant.

DIY CANDY WREATH

Some of you may know that I'm an Independent Marketing Consultant by day. So, of course, at this time of year I'm always looking for ideas on what I can send clients. One of the companies I work for sends a platter of homemade cookies every year. It's something easy and everyone in the office can enjoy it. But what about this cute DIY wreath that's made with candy tins?  The candy tins have magnets that would let individuals take and enjoy some candy. I love this idea and will certainly be pinning it for next year! Find the full tutorial over at Kara's Party Ideas.

DIY COOKIE CUTTER CANDLES

Still looking for a holiday neighbor gift or something for the teacher or co-worker? Here's a great DIY that will impress recipients–colorful candles made with holiday cookie cutters. Create a set with at least 3 different designs to make a gift that will impress. You can find the full tutorial over at evermine blog.  I'm pinning this idea for next year! If you pin it too, remember to be a good pinner and pin it from the original source.

GLAMOUR AND PEARLS SMASH CAKE SESSION

Oh what fun to be able to smash into a birthday cake and do it in style! This little one got to dress up in pretty ruffles and pearls for her special 1 year photo session. I love the vintage stylish outfit and the colorful bistro like chalkboard. Kudos to Ontario, Canada photographer, Melissa Avey, for beautifully capturing the smashing moments!

VINTAGE 50th ANNIVERSARY PARTY

We should all be as lucky as Dorm and Sharon who recently celebrated 50 years of marriage! They met and married at a young age and look like they are still having fun! I love all the personal items they used to decorate their anniversary celebration: Sharon's actual wedding dress was restored and displayed, personal photos and a replica of their wedding cake. What great inspiration for celebrating such a milestone. And I love how Wyoming photographer HNH Photography captured the event with a soft vintage look.  Enjoy all the moments!

SUNNY BRIGHT WEDDING

We are officially into the holiday season! And the holiday season usually brings with it many new wedding engagements. So, I thought it would be fun to start this week off with this beautiful wedding photographed by Michigan's Dan and Melissa Photography. Some of my favorite details include the photo collages adorning the reception tent and rustic signs. Looks like it was truly a beautiful day for the newlyweds. Make sure to check out the participating vendors after the photos.
