"Flirty Thirty" is not only the theme to this colorful and festive photo shoot, but it reflects the fun personality of the birthday girl! Event designer Fairy Godmother A Wedding and Event Company crafted a birthday bash that is full of lively colors, champagne and of course, confetti, to kick off her new life chapter! A couple of my favorite elements include the sparkly table coverings and glitter trimmed flowers on the place settings.

BRIDAL SHOWER GIFT IDEA
This past weekend I went to a bridal shower. Almost all showers I've been to include registry information with the invite and I usually pick my gift from that. However, this shower put a theme to the gift ideas–a date night theme. The invite asked each guest to bring an idea the couple could use as a date night. Cute, right? The example given on the invitation was a gift basket with dry ingredients for homemade pasta and a DVD of the movie, Italian Job.
I came across this adorable picnic basket and instantly thought it would be perfect! The basket came complete with plates, glasses and utensils. In addition to the basket, we have a great little cheese shop here, called The Welsh Rabbit, so I added that in–something they can use to fill their basket.
Other ideas that were gifted included a crate filled with board games for a game night; a basket with canvases and paints; a basket filled with robes with a certificate for a couples massage and a cooler for a pool date that included sunblock, towels and koozies. People got really creative! I just thought this was such a cute idea that I wanted to pop in here to share.
What other shower gift theme ideas have you seen that you thought were pretty unique?

PUPPY'S 6-MONTH BIRTHDAY
This mama loves her fur baby so much, she threw her a party for turning 6 months old! Custom beer koozies and treats wrapped in paw-print wrapping paper were just a couple of the special touches made for the occasion. Thanks to this pet owner and North Carolina photographer, Lacy Matusek, for sharing the special day!

BOHEMIAN STYLED WEDDING WITH UNIQUE TIRE BACKDROP
Yes–tires! You read that right. Colored tires beautifully provide an unexpected complement to the venue's wooden setting and accents. I also love the bar which reminds me of a pop-up camper. The florals bring the whole look together, making it soft and romantic. Big thanks to San Diego photographer, Willmus Weddings, for capturing the shoot and sharing it with us. And be sure to check out everyone listed below who made up the creative team that put this all together.

CIRCUS THEMED PARTY AND SMASH!
This little boy turned one in February. Mom took advantage of their local library to throw a party there, complete with an entertaining puppet show. (I wonder if our library hosts parties?!) When mom was asked why she wanted a photographer to capture the event, she said, "The first-year milestone represents more than just a celebration...(but) the village it takes to bring up a child. A range of emotions are experienced in a child's first year; the deepest joy, sadness, fear, anxiety, and triumph. Through this emotional journey, you become the parent your child needs along the way. Why not celebrate?" I could not agree more! Thank you to Washington photographer, Lavender Bouquet, for capturing and submitting the colorful details.
