Infused with the perfect spring color palette of lavender, pink and light green, this setting is the perfect place to entertain mom on Mother's Day. Add a few personal touches like a photo of mom and her kids, a card and her favorite foods or desserts and she'll be thrilled. These colors also work well for a bridal shower.
Happy Mother's Day to all the hard working moms out there!

TODAY'S TAKEAWAY: PHOTO COLLAGE FOR MOTHER'S DAY
Over the weekend I was googling ideas for Mother's Day, and came across this sweet photo heart collage at My Sister's Cottage. This was done using a program called shapecollage.com. You upload your photos and you can choose a shape to turn them into. You can also probably attempt to do it yourself with real or scanned photos. Either way, I thought it was a really nice affordable gift to give to any mom. If you use the actual photos, make sure to mount them in a glass frame so photos don't get ruined. If you use a printout of scanned photos, I'd bet it would look really nice mounted on a canvas.

Real Flower Boxed Monogram
Mother's Day is only a few days away. Parcel Post shows us a different way to give your special mom flowers on Sunday. Spell out MOM with paper mache letter boxes, some floral foam and flowers. I also love this idea as a centerpiece for a party, spelling out the word CONGRATS down the center of the table. Find the full tutorial here.

FREE Mother's Day Printables
I often feature free printables on my Facebook page. I have to admit, I take full advantage of them! Besides the fact that they're free, printables are a fast and easy way to jazz up a table. When I find a set of printables I want to use, they become my inspiration and guide for the rest of my table's decor. It's an easy way to start, and it really helps me narrow down my color scheme.
There are so many great freebies out there for Mother's Day, I thought I'd round up some of my favorites here. And it's only Wednesday, so you certainly still have plenty of time to print these out to use.

Mimosas have definitely become a customary drink at brunches–and why not? They are simple to make, delicious and bubbly goes with everything! I love this colorful setup from The Party Dress. They added vibrant color with different choices of fruit juices and garnishes, around a matching floral centerpiece. You can easily create this look for your Mother's Day or shower brunch. Merry Monday: Garden Party

Hope you had a wonderful Easter yesterday! I, for one, ate way too much candy! I always try to prevent the kids from eating too much, but then have a hard time limiting myself. ugh. Since Easter was so late this year, we haven't spent enough time thinking about Mother's Day! That will be here before you know it. When I saw this lovely Pink & Yellow Garden Party from Dreamers Joy Events & Design on Pizzazzerie, I thought this couldn't be more perfect for Mother's Day–especially for a mom that loves to garden! Don't you love the use of the terra cotta pots–especially using the small ones to hold the cones? So clever. The small watering cans and galvanized pots bring a nice shine to the overall decor, and there is definitely something about the crocheted flowers that say "mom."
Check out the original post on Pizzazzerie here. And you can visit Dreamers Joy Events & Design on Facebook here. (Their actual site is still under development.) More for Mother's Day during the week!
