Amanda at Ruffled shared some amazing and inspiring photos of an event she went to in NYC, The Cream Event. This table setting she shared from Glitter & Rye totally jumped out at me–because honestly–I never thought blocks of wood could look so good on a table! They even used wooden plaques as placemats. I love this idea because it's inexpensive, different, and an easy to add various, interesting height to your table. I especially love this idea for the upcoming Fall season. You're right...this is an amazing decorating idea. The wood blocks not only add height but their grain is lovely (on the place mats, too)!
