Merry Monday: Pirate Parties

It's been reported that Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides has already brought in over $90 million from its opening weekend. Wowzers! Pirate parties have always been popular, but this will certainly bring them back to the top of the list for sure! I'm sure you've seen many, many boy pirate parties... but wanted to share two pirate parties that each offer a different spin on the usual.

A GIRL PIRATE PARTY
Using red food items, like strawberries, and subtle girlie patterned touches, such as the pinwheels, give this party a more feminine feel, without getting too girly and scaring off some of the boy guests (!) Look at those adorable cookies! You can see more of this party at "that cute little cake."

NAUTICAL PIRATE PARTY
This darling pirate party uses an aqua and red color scheme to keep it youthful, and few but strong props like the nautical wheel, give it a clean and sophisticated look. Found via Pizzazzerie, this party was styled by mom who owns Events by LG. You can check out more details here.
