Popcorn Cake

Remember the fab "fruit cake" I posted here? Well, here is another fun cake idea for you–a popcorn cake! Perfect for a movie night party, or just something different.

Y'know, when we were in Disneyland over Spring Break, and my girls would start whining that they were hungry... I popped out the bag of popcorn, and they got so happy! Kids and adults love it.

BAM! Feels like Summer just hit you over the head when you saw these, right?? Vibrant, big, puffy color--gotta love it! They don't seem too hard to make. Making these is kind of like making half of a tissue pom.

What a great background these would make. Or hang a few on a tree, along the trunk and branches. The colors of these make them perfect for a fiesta. So many possibilities! Find a full picture tutorial at Honestly WTF.

Taking a (Spring) Break

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoying the mild weather everyone seems to be having. Even here in Colorado the forecast is showing 71 degrees on Monday! The kids here are off from school next week, so I'm going to unplug from work and blogging to take the week off as well to do some fun stuff with the family. I'll be back the week of the 19th. Party on!

Don't forget to change your clocks tonight!

This Week's Tip-off: Balloon Ice

Here's a colorful way to keep drinks cold during a party. Just freeze balloons filled with water.  (Actual water balloons are not recommended, as they are not as strong) Keep some in the freezer, so when the ones in your cooler start to melt, you can quickly replace them. No worry about having enough ice on hand. And it certainly helps to make even your bucket of drinks look festive!

Found via a friend's Pinterest board here. Sourced as princessbubble.com--but I could not find the image anywhere on the site!
