MODERN NATURE WEDDING

This couple really expressed their love for nature in the amazingly unique details of their wedding celebration. I don't think there was anyone more excited than photographers Bonnallie Brodeur when they were greeted with the beautiful scenery to capture. The groom used a canoe to meet his bride at a dock. A teepee set the stage for the nuptials that included special surprises like the bride singing her vows to the groom with her ukelele. And a yellow-eyed owl delivered the rings to the couple! Amazing! The reception at Haut Bois Normand carried its own rustic beauty, where the tables were accented with feathers and flowers. It really was a magical day.

TAKE NOTE OF THIS TEACHER GIFT

I can't really believe it, but today is my kids' last full day of school! Tomorrow is just a half day and then the year is over–I will have two third graders. The last couple of months especially went by really fast. Not sure if I'm entirely ready for the summer, but here we go!

Although the class gave the teachers a nice gift over appreciation week just a few weeks ago, I always like to give one last end of year gift, too. When Renee's teacher gave her a thank you note written on loose-leaf paper I knew what I was going to get her!  I found this cute pack of 50 notecards at Target. Colorful and blank, so the teachers can use them for a thank you or just a note to a parent.  This is certainly not an original idea.  In fact, I found the perfect free gift tag printable at The Teacher Mama.  I always try to give something useful.  Are you planning any teacher gifts?

FUSCHIA AND YELLOW SUMMER WEDDING

You can definitely tell it's wedding season with the number of wedding celebrations in my inbox right now! Including this bright summer wedding that took place at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. The hotel actually planned the event.  The stunning scenery and relaxed, fun environment made it the perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. I love the suitcases used to hold seating cards and the pouring sand by the couple. Thank you to Michigan's Paul Retherford Photography for capturing the island wedding and sharing the details with us! Make sure to check out the list of additional participating vendors below.

STYLED PINK QUINCEANERA

This styled shoot for a girl's quinceanera is certainly pretty in pink. For those of you who might not be familiar with a quinceanera, it is the celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday in Latin American communities. It is a big deal, very much how many Americans might celebrate a sweet sixteen.  Although my sweet sixteen was just a bunch of balloons and dinner at home! ha.  Thanks so much to Candy Acosta Photography in Washington for taking and sharing the lovely details.  Wouldn't you love an occasion to wear a dress like that at 15?!

FLORAL LATTICE BACKDROP

I am in love with this floral lattice backdrop I came across over at The Proper Pinwheel. It was originally done for Mother's Day, but is perfect for any warm weather party–outdoors or in.  I can see it working especially well for a home bridal shower.  Find the full tutorial here.
